Chrisean Rock, a reality TV star and new mother, finds herself entangled in a series of legal issues that could result in significant time behind bars. Her arrest in June has set off a chain of events that highlight the severity of her legal troubles and the potential impact on her and her family’s lives.
Chrisean Rock was taken into custody upon entering a San Fernando Valley courtroom to support her partner, Blueface, who is also incarcerated. She was arrested due to a warrant for alleged assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 30 days in a California jail. The warrant is believed to be linked to an incident with James Wright Chanel at a Tamar Braxton concert last year, though this connection remains unconfirmed. Chanel pressed charges in February, claiming that Rock had punched him in the face.
Following her 30-day jail term, Rock is set to be extradited to Oklahoma to face charges of “possession of marijuana with intent to distribute” and “possession of a controlled dangerous substance” (CDS). Each of these charges carries a potential four-year sentence, which could result in an eight-year combined sentence if she is convicted on both counts.
Controlled Dangerous Substances, or CDS, in Oklahoma law, encompass a wide range of drugs including narcotics, amphetamines, and other opiates. Possessing CDS or marijuana with intent to distribute is a serious offense in Oklahoma, with penalties including a minimum of two years in prison and fines up to $20,000. Rock’s legal situation is further complicated by her failure to display a tax stamp on CDS, which is another offense under Oklahoma law.
Chrisean Rock’s current incarceration is at the Northeast Oklahoma Community Corrections Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. Her sister, Terrine, has kept fans updated about Rock’s situation through social media, expressing optimism that Chrisean will be reunited with her family before her son’s first birthday in September.
The case has drawn significant attention, partly due to Rock’s association with Blueface, who has his own legal battles. Blueface has been jailed since January for an alleged probation violation related to a 2021 assault case. His sentencing hearing, initially scheduled for last month, has been postponed to August 6.
In June, as Chrisean Rock attended Blueface’s court hearing in Los Angeles, she was arrested and subsequently extradited to Oklahoma due to a warrant related to her 2022 drug charges. Blueface’s manager, Wack 100, commented on her arrest, predicting that she might be home before the end of the summer or at least by Christmas, depending on the outcome of her extradition and court proceedings.
Despite the serious charges she faces, Chrisean Rock has expressed a desire to spend time with her son, Chrisean Jr., who is currently not in the care of either of his parents. During an Instagram Live session, she mentioned her efforts to resolve her legal issues to avoid imprisonment and be there for her son. She emphasized her commitment to her child, stating that the “old” her would have surrendered to authorities, but her priority now is to avoid prison and witness her son’s growth.
As the legal proceedings continue, the fate of Chrisean Rock hangs in the balance, with the potential for significant prison time posing a substantial challenge to her future and her ability to care for her young son.
