For years, glossy locks have dominated the front covers of magazines, catwalks, and social media.

No matter how hard we try, we can never quite achieve that high-shine hair, like when we leave the salon.

And it seems our obsession for ultra-shiny hair has gone wild, thanks to microtrends on TikTok. Boots recently reported that thanks to Maison Margiela’s SS24 show, the aesthetic of ‘Glass Hair’ has never been more prevalent.

Not to mention that there are over 287,000 posts on Instagram, dedicated to #GlossyHair alone.

Thankfully Redken has heard our pleas, and created the brand-new Acidic Color Gloss Collection, that will help us achieve that gorgeous hair we long for, straight from the shower.

The science behind the shine is a combination of an Acidic Shine Complex, pH-balancing Citric Acid, and a low concentration of Hydrogen Peroxide.

The hair cocktail works to gently cleanse and polish the hair fibre, without disrupting the natural oils of the hair. It gets to work by depositing glossing molecules, and smoothing the hair cuticle – all whilst sealing in that shine.

Born from over 40 years’ worth of salon colour and shine, The Acidic Color Gloss collection is here to stay.

Thanks to the revolutionary preactivated technology, the latest Redken range was created from the professional Shades EQ Gloss (the in-salon treatment we all know and love).

Combining acidic pH formulas and Acidic Shine Complex, you get a reflective, ‘glass-like shine’, and seals into the cuticle – to lock in the gloss for up to 3 days.

Now this at-home innovation will help preserve the colour of your hair, and boost shine with every wash.

How cool is that?

And shoppers have already been loving the results of the at-home range, exclaiming how the product range is a ‘new favourite; they ‘love’ it, and how hair is left ‘soft and silky’ too.

Not to mention ‘maintaining vibrant hair colour’ post-salon appointment.

Monika, one user, left her review on the Boots website and said: ‘My hair is so smooth and shiny after using all those products. Definitely recommend.’

Another five-star reviewer called Annalrankin added how ‘amazing’ she thought the range was, before saying: ‘Love it. Again, made my hair silky smooth and locked colour in!’

‘This is a really good little set,’ said Hollylou, and went on to add: ‘It transformed my hair! Left it feeling healthier and stronger, and really brightened up my colour! Smelt amazing! Would definitely purchase in the future!’
